If you can't decide between the two candidates, vote for the one that will allow you to vote in future elections.

I know we may have differences in the past, but the ability to disagree is in part a measure of freedom. What will our past disagreements matter when we are all forced to agree to something that we all know is factually and ethically wrong?

What am I talking about? I just heard about something called "Project 2025" from something called the Heritage Foundation. This proposal reads like the Nuremberg laws. In order to, as they describe it "protect us from a radical agenda", they plan to remove many federal institutions and laying off thousands if not hundred of thousands of federal employees, reclassify all LGBTQ+ content as "pornography" no matter how benign, and criminalize being openly gay or trans. All of this to "protect children." Obtaining new knowledge and making proper adjustments in response is NOT a radical agenda, it's just learning. You know what IS a radical agenda? Being funded by dark money groups to distract people's rage from real problems towards the least responsible, and in a way that would flat out violate the constitution. I have a question, how is blaming everything on the GLBTQ+ community going to fix the war in Ukraine? Or how will it fix gas prices? Or climate change? Or inflation? Or our national finances? Or wealth inequality? Or healthcare? Or ANYTHING? Or most importantly getting the big money out of politics, that's a big one.

Remember, these are the same people who fooled America, myself included, that the 2003 invasion of Iraq would result in very little bad and far more good. Boy were they wrong. Do not let these people fool you again. And it is not just the Heritage Foundation pushing for this, they just wrote it. An alarming number of "think-tanks" out there pushing for this too. And because we don't know where their money comes from their funding may be unlimited.

This is why we need to get the next generation active. These people know this, and they realize that time is not on their side. It is not too late, but we need to act NOW! Every time they keep saying "we progressives need to mobilize like never before" we barely do. We HAVE TO this time. We may disagree on things, but at least we agree on what the future of America should be.

And even if you are not part of this community, you would be no more free than the leash you are on, and if you're not careful, they'll hang ya by it. You think they will stop with them? As soon as they are done forcing them back into the closet (at best) they'll find some new group to blame everything on, and you could be next. They no longer have any ideas, or any good ones. Hate is all they have and therefore they need an enemy to survive. I am not part of the LGBTQ+ community, but I belong to a sub-culture that is very tolerant to them but has also been demonized for 20 years by the media. Or they could go after people for their disabilities, or race, or religion. If you think "that's crazy and it will never happen here", that's famous last words. That's what they always said before it DID happen.

It just goes to show how when others are oppressed, NO ONE is free. If you won't die in the camps, you will die in the battlefields.

So please, get involved, vote, and get others to do so. And if we pull through this, maybe this experience can get us all to work through our disputes more smoothly in the future.

Oh, and one more thing. Someone made a video about Sonic the Hedgehog, while I don't agree with it 100%, it does a very good job making all of the same arguments I've been trying to make over the last 20 years but a far better job than I ever could. It was a story about the fight for freedom and how tyrannical to be forced to live in a body that won't let you have the life you want. And guess what? The person who made that video is transgendered. Think about it. The goal of tyrants (like Robotnik) is to say "Life should be ONLY a certain way". And the goal of people defeat them (like Sonic) is to say "It does not." Let's make that just as true in our world.

Now, as we know, this is the one year anniversary of the current Russo-Ukraine war. And I must admit, I wasn't expecting the Ukrainians to be doing this well. But, they still need our help.

Late 2022 saw three major scientific events. In November was the Launch of Artemis I, the first rocket that surpassed the Saturn V in terms of thrust and lifting capacity.

In early December was the rollout of the B-21 Raider, America's newest stealth bomber.

Then a few days later scientists at Livermore have achieved the fusion ignition threshold, something scientists have been trying to achieve for the last 80 years!

Yay for science. I now wonder what 2023 will bring. Hopefully a happy new year.
